Our philosophy is that it is very important to preserve as much as possible the original character of the houses that we work on, as they are part of the Italian rural heritage. We choose them on the basis of their interest both from the naturalistic point of view and from the historic point of view. We employ local builders who are skilled in traditional building techniques and we make sure that all original materials (such as wood beams, terracotta bricks and rood tiles) are re-used for the safe-guard of traditional buildings, both in the exterior and the interior of the house. We use ecologically friendly products such as natural paint for the walls and traditional varnish for all wood materials. We follow each step of the restoration, making sure the work is carried out to the highest standards, conforming to your directions. We also act as consultants for the selection of local antique furniture and can help our clients find the local craftsmen who make traditional pottery, ceramic and textiles.
The prices of the houses advertised on
our web site are for the houses in their present condition; when the house
requires restoration, as a general indication,
restoration costs vary between 1,000 and 1,500 Euros
per square metre, depending on the amount of work required, so if you
multiply these figures by the amount of square metres of the house
that you are interested in, you can get a rough indication of the
costs.
