VALLO di NERA - portion of old mediaeval building for sale near Spoleto, Umbria, Italy 

The mediaeval village of Vallo di Nera, close to the town of Spoleto in Umbria, in the Valnerina, soon to be protected as a UNESCO world heritage site, is listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy. The Nera river runs nearby and provides a wonderful respite in the heat of the summer. The whole village has been delightfully restored recently. The house is about 50m from the village shop and 100m from car-parking, which is outside the walls. Perugia airport is a 50 minutes’ drive; the airports at Rome and Ancona about 2 hours. The village is within easy reach of the main art centres of Assisi, Montefalco, Spello and Norcia and the Monte Sibillini National Park where one can practise many sports and outdoor activities. There are many swimming pools open to the public in the area. The many restaurants, some of which within walking distance, offer local delicacies such as the Umbrian black truffles, cheeses, etc..
